AI, Artificial Intelligence is nothing new in Technology. AI has been around for years in the development of manufacturing, healthcare and finance sectors by using the technology to ensure efficiency, accuracy and increase profitability within business. In recent years the rise of automation has also been slowly creeping into our everyday lives. Even without even knowing it, we are utilizing AI at an increasing rate and its due to the fact it makes general low-level, repetitive processes more efficient.
Every day use of AI is being channeled through chatbots, smartbots, talkbot, chatterbot, Bot, Immediate Messing bot, interactive agent, Conversational interface or Artificial Conversational Entity. These are all part of computer programs or an artificial intelligence which conduct conversations via auditory or textual methods. Technology that performs procedures or procedures without human assistance. The point of this technology is about automation, not about robots per say, but the use of technology for the purpose of productivity. Removing the repetitive, labour intensive procedures that can be replicated by bot technology itself.
The Cielo Costa digital assistant, aptly named Derrick, can provide in-place contextual help to staff with domain specific knowledge. Derrick can provide the necessary answers, based on extensive back database including all references to technical documentation of an Employee handbook, applying learning from previous chat log histories to understand how to answer standard level questions allowing for a constant internal HR communications stream.
