Location: UK home based

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage our solution deliveries and customer relationships and build and develop our Project Management Office.

We are a boutique consulting practice, with an excellent dynamic team specialising in building solutions primarily based on Microsoft technologies, especially SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.

We are working on some cutting-edge technologies to intelligently and more effectively solve real business problems involving artificial intelligence, bots, machine learning, virtual and mixed reality.

We have an outstanding portfolio of clients consisting of some of the top global brands such as Dixons Carphone, Microsoft, Lidl, BMI Healthcare, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and more.

Main Duties

  • Producing project schedules and plans for delivery of development projects

  • Scheduling and forecasting resources.

  • Managing and controlling project budgets.

  • Preparing weekly project reports, tracking project team tasks, timescales, risks, issues, and sprint planning.

  • Preparing for and delivering customer workshops and meetings, including managing detailed outcomes and actions.

  • Managing and reporting project KPIs and inspiring others to deliver against KPIs

  • Monitoring sprint progress through burndown charts

  • Taking responsibility for Software Quality and managing User Acceptance

  • Maintaining Product Backlog alongside Product Owner

  • Running daily stand-ups with a geographically dispersed team in different time zones.

  • Assist with statements of work, proposals and estimation/costing, understanding the intricacies between Fixed Price and Time and Materials

  • Managing customer relationships with project managers and product owners.

  • Embracing our project methodology and pro-actively suggesting iterative improvements.

  • Liaising with our support team to ensure timely resolution to customer issues for projects that have gone into support.

  • Processing customer and end user feedback/ideas to ensure they are captured and dealt with accordingly

Soft Skills

  • Managing complex IT projects and dependencies (required)

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (required)

  • An in depth understanding of agile software development (required)

  • Knowledge of PRINCE2 project methodologies (desired)

  • Knowledge of ITIL standards (desired)

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Project management software e.g. Aha!, Microsoft Project, Wrike (required)

  • Task management tools e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira (required)

  • Microsoft SharePoint (preferred)

  • Zendesk (beneficial)

  • Other Microsoft Office 365 products such as Power Apps, Power BI, Flow and Azure (beneficial)

  • Information security knowledge such as IASME and ISO27001 (beneficial)

  • Quality Management experience - ISO9001 (beneficial)

  • Microsoft and Agile certifications (preferably)
