Selecting the right person for a job can be a tedious, time-consuming process. What if you had a smart app that did the hard work for you?
We recently built a business software tool for the dispute resolution service of a leading property and real estate industry regulatory body. As an alternative to expensive court action, people involved in property disputes can request that the regulatory body appoints one of their qualified members as an objective third party to resolve their issues.
As the dispute resolution service deals with thousands of cases every year, they need processes which are efficient and speedy while also ensuring that the most suitable intermediary is assigned to each case.
Specialised advanced search filters
We solved this business challenge by adding a series of advanced search filters to the dispute resolution service’s interface in Microsoft Dynamics 365. When a new case is presented, staff can search for an appropriate intermediary based on distance from the property (the default search option) and matching skills. Once the system retrieves a list from the database of the most suitable intermediaries, the user can narrow this down further into their top options, for example, a shortlist of three. Prospective people will then be emailed in order of preference and invited to handle the case.
The app also enables users to see the property virtually on Google Street View, a particularly useful feature in situations where misleading information may have been submitted.
The interface is intuitive and easy to use, making the process of assigning the appropriate person to each case literally as simple as pushing a few buttons.
