Scheduling apps have become a vital tool to ensure staff are in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment.
However, being able to review your appointments from your phone or tablet while dashing between appointments is just the start. Increasingly, healthcare providers are embracing integrated tech which enables clinical staff to seamlessly coordinate their bookings with centralised systems, so they are informed of changes as soon as they happen.
We have developed an integrated scheduling application for a major UK private hospital group, available to more than 6,000 specialist consultants across over 50 hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Intuitive finance solutions:
Intuative Interface – Featuring a sleek, intuitive interface, the app enables clinical staff to see all of their upcoming appointments at a glance from any of their devices. They can easily request theatre bookings across the group’s entire hospital network with a few clicks. When a clinician requests a booking, the app automatically emails the reservation team at the appropriate hospital, who feed the request into their bookings system. The clinician then receives confirmation via their app, or, if their request cannot be accommodated at the preferred time, notice of the alternate booking slot.
Secure Always – To ensure patient confidentiality, security features include device-specific PIN numbers, multi-factor authentication, and an automatic time-out after two minutes when not in use.
Improved Look & Feel – The app successfully went live in September 2019 and has been in constant use since – but that’s not the end of the story. At Cielo Costa, we are passionate about developing bespoke application software which continues to evolve to keep up with our client’s changing needs.
In late 2020, we were asked if we could transfer the platform from Power Apps to reduce licensing costs. We could – and we also improved the product at the same time. The second version, built using custom web technologies such as JavaScript React, and Node.js and CosmosDB, provides a better user experience through a more intuitive interface. While the original app came in two versions, one for mobile devices and the other for desktops, the second has a responsive n interface that instantly adapts its layout to any device.
And we’re not finished yet. We are proud to continue to work in partnership with leading health groups to digitalise and improve their systems and processes.
